This is a 12-week Parenting Journey that starts February 2nd (starting on the 9th is allowed)
MPAP, rooted in the Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, is here to empower you! This course goes beyond conventional parenting, equipping you with tools to handle personal challenges while nurturing your child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Tailored for caregivers of youth aged 0-8, it's a transformative opportunity beyond conventional parenting. If your child falls outside this range, or if you want to apply the skills to older youth, we encourage and support you. If you ever anticipate fostering a youth 0-8, then this is a great opportunity as a proactive step.
Why Take the Leap? Personal growth | Better opportunities for your youth | 100% support from our team
Success in the program: Participation certificate for every participant | Approved for renewal hours (DCFS)
*MPAP is an interactive training and cannot be taken/completed off-screen.

Every Friday from 10-11am
with Dr. Melissa Daniels
A weekly support group dedicated to caregivers who take higher-need placements through the DCFS Placement Stability Team (PST) Program OR the DCFS Therapeutic Shelter Home (TSH) Program.
Each meeting will target common situations/behaviors/diagnoses experienced in these higher-need placements.
We encourage you to ask questions about situations/behaviors you have experienced, are currently experiencing, or are curious about.
Our goal is to help you further understand the youth in your home so that you feel prepared and supported which will lead to placement stability for both you and the youth in your care.
These meetings will be a safe place that prioritizes education, support, respect, and privacy for all individuals and experiences involved.
Led by Dr. Melissa Daniels who is our C.A.R.E Service Specialist, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and teaches FKCE classes on higher-need topics. One-on-One support is also available. Melissa@fosteringunity.org or 213-269-2924
